Cyrus Stuvland is a queer and trans writer and artist from rural north Idaho.  

Cyrus has a BA in English from Boise State University and an MA, also in English, from Georgetown University. They received their MFA in Creative Nonfiction from the University of New Mexico (UNM), where they were the nonfiction editor for Blue Mesa Review. Their writing has been supported by Tin House.

Cyrus is currently pursuing their PhD in Rhetoric and Writing at UNM where they are focusing on the rhetoric of trash. Cyrus teaches in the Core Writing Department and edits the Elevations textbook. They have taught in university settings for nearly a decade. ​
